Part of the historical structure has been transferred to storage at "Tazalyk"
The reconstruction of the fountain located in Dubovy Park has begun in Bishkek, as confirmed by city hall representatives.
According to the city municipality, the work on manufacturing the reinforced concrete frames for three basins and columns has been completed. Currently, the formwork is being refined, which is necessary for further monolithic concreting. The first basin has already been poured, and the remaining ones will be concreted on site. All necessary materials and structures are already prepared.
“At the moment, work is underway on the sub-concrete layer, after which a frame foundation will be installed and the reinforcement will be tied. This month, the excavation will be filled and the upper part of the new fountain will be installed,” the city hall reported.
It is worth noting that the historical part of the old fountain has been preserved and transferred to the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk" for storage.
We remind you that the fountain, built in 1956 as part of a comprehensive park project, was demolished due to its technical condition. City authorities promised to replace the old fountain with a new one that will be equipped with lighting.
