According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, the main topics of discussion concerned the state of the media sphere in Kyrgyzstan and issues related to freedom of expression.
The Minister emphasized that Kyrgyzstan remains committed to its international obligations regarding freedom of speech, noting the importance of finding a balance between media freedom and responsibility for the dissemination of information.
During the meeting, issues related to digital transformation, combating disinformation, and raising standards of professionalism and media literacy were also raised.
Particular attention was paid to legislative initiatives, the safety of journalists, and the development of cooperation with the OSCE, including support for experts, educational programs, and the exchange of experiences.
