In Kyrgyzstan, the introduction of tax liability for bloggers with a subscriber audience of more than 10,000 people is planned. This was reported by journalist Elaman Karymshakov on social media, citing a response letter from the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev to one of the participants of the kurultai. He also shared a screenshot of this letter.
In the letter, it is stated that the Ministry of Culture is currently working on a draft law titled "On Bloggers," which implies state control over their activities. In particular, it is planned to tax bloggers with an audience exceeding 10,000 subscribers.

However, as reported by the ministry's press service 24.kg, the draft law is still in the process of being finalized. "At this moment, it is impossible to say exactly from what number of subscribers bloggers will be subject to taxation. Therefore, it is premature to assert that it will be exactly 10,000. We expect that by March, the draft law will be ready for public discussion," the agency added.
