New competitions will be featured for the first time in the Games
A presentation of the sports program for the VI World Nomad Games, scheduled for 2026 in Cholpon-Ata, took place in Bishkek.
The event is organized by the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture, and Sports.
As reported by the agency's director, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, the opening of the games is set for August 31 at the "Bishkek Arena," while the main part of the competitions will begin on September 2. The Games will feature competitions in 43 types of national and traditional sports, with athletes expected from more than 100 countries, which will set a new record. The first games had only 19 participating states, and now we are witnessing a significant expansion of geography," he noted.
It is particularly noteworthy that the upcoming Games will for the first time include the competitions "Great Player of Kok-Boru" and "Great Horse of Kok-Boru."
