

This information became known during a meeting between the president of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov, with Aktoty Raimbekova, the head of the fund, and her deputy Serik Nurmoldoev. Representatives from the Chingiz Aitmatov Literature Institute also participated in the discussion.
During the meeting, Aktoty Raimbekova presented the first volume of the series "Heroic Epic of the Turkic Peoples," which includes a book on the "Heroic Epic of the Kyrgyz People." This publication initiates the international project "Heritage of Turkic Folklore," aimed at systematizing and popularizing the folklore heritage of the Turkic peoples.
The book contains the epic "Manas," scientific articles prepared by leading specialists in accordance with international standards, original texts, and translations into Turkic and English.
The project involved academician Abdyladjan Akmataliev, director of the Chingiz Aitmatov Literature Institute, and the institute's chief researcher, Manas scholar Zhyldyz Orozobekova. Meeting participants noted the high academic level of the materials in the collection.
The project was presented to the international community on November 4, 2025, in Samarkand as part of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference. For the further development of the series, the fund proposed to include in the research plan of the Literature Institute for 2026–2027 the preparation of subsequent volumes dedicated to epic works, prose, and ritual folklore of the Kyrgyz people.
Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov, president of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, expressed gratitude to the fund representatives for their work in preserving the cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples and confirmed the Academy's readiness to actively participate in the anniversary events.
