At the event dedicated to the 77th anniversary of Republic Day, which took place in Bishkek with the participation of the Indian embassy, it was announced that modern medical equipment for the treatment of cancer diseases would be transferred to Kyrgyzstan.

Among the guests were representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as prominent figures in culture and art.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to Kyrgyzstan, Birender Singh Yadav, reported that in the near future, a group of Kyrgyz military personnel will travel to India for training in combat operations in high-altitude conditions.

He emphasized that in 2026, when Kyrgyzstan will chair the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the activity of partnership between the two countries will significantly increase. The ambassador assured that India fully supports Kyrgyzstan's initiatives within the framework of this chairmanship.

Despite the fact that the level of trade turnover between the countries is currently not high, the ambassador noted that there is significant potential for increasing mutual trade. In this regard, he emphasized the need to expedite the completion of negotiations on a free trade agreement between India and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Memorandums of understanding were also signed for projects such as "Establishment of an IT laboratory at the Kyrgyz Economic University" and "Improvement of the technical base and infrastructure of the Center for General Medical Practice in the Leilek District of the Batken Region," aimed at improving the lives of the local population.

The Indian side confirmed its intention to transfer the Siddharth II linear accelerator, which will significantly enhance Kyrgyzstan's capabilities in treating oncological diseases.

A replacement of the cobalt-60 source in the Bhabhatron II device, which was previously donated to the National Center for Oncology and Hematology in Bishkek, is also expected.

The Indian ambassador expressed gratitude to the government of Kyrgyzstan for ensuring the well-being and safety of the Indian diaspora, especially medical students, emphasizing their contribution to strengthening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Almaz Imangaziev noted that over the years of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and India, strong bilateral relations have been established based on equality, trust, and mutual interests. He added that interaction between the countries is successfully developing in the political, economic, educational, cultural, and medical spheres.

According to him, the opening of a direct flight from Bishkek to Delhi by the domestic airline TezJet is a vivid example of mutual interest in expanding contacts between the peoples of the two states.
