In Kyrgyzstan, efforts are being made to establish a culture of holding celebrations and memorial services, which, according to State Secretary Arslan Koichiev, is an important part of the public and national search. He expressed his thoughts in the program "Elden Sobol" on the Kabar agency. Koichiev emphasized that in conditions where traditions and customs have a significant influence on society, an immediate rejection of them is impossible.

In his opinion, changes in customs occur very slowly and require active discussions within society. Traditions shape the national character and identity of the Kyrgyz people.

“A key point is an open and substantive discussion. We must use this moment to achieve public consensus. If we manage to come to an agreement, it will testify to the maturity of our society,” he added.

The State Secretary also noted the importance of broad discussion of the draft resolution that has been submitted for public consideration. The participation of both ordinary citizens and specialists in this discussion is crucial.

“If this becomes a step towards improving our national culture, it will benefit everyone. Public experts, ordinary people, and, if necessary, philosophers and sociologists should participate in the discussion. Historically, the modernization of Kyrgyz traditions has occurred throughout the 20th century and continues in the 21st century. I hope that we can resolve this issue through consensus, avoiding extremes and pressure,” Koichiev noted.

It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers has presented a draft resolution aimed at reducing wastefulness during celebrations and memorial events.
