“It cannot be claimed that the general plan implies the demolition of houses. It does not initially include such measures,” the official emphasized.
Jakypov also reported that the process of coordinating the general plan is currently ongoing and is in the preparation stage. “Once all necessary procedures are completed, the document will be submitted for approval to the cabinet of ministers. I cannot specify exact timelines yet. As soon as the general plan is approved, its implementation will begin,” he added.

Chyngyz Mederbek uulu, head of the urban planning department of the Bishkek main department for urban development and architecture, added that the main goal of the general plan is balanced territorial development, protection of natural resources, improvement of social infrastructure, creation of a modern transport network, and enhancement of the ecological situation.
“The general plan also provides for decentralization in all directions. The creation of sub-centers will help citizens avoid the need to travel to the center, which, in turn, will reduce the burden on the city,” he noted.
It is worth reminding that the cabinet of ministers has put the draft resolution "On the approval of the general plan for the city of Bishkek until 2050" up for public discussion. This document defines the development strategy of the capital for the next 25 years and will become the main tool for territorial planning.
