In his comment, he also explained how the new training in driving schools will be organized.
“How will the training process take place over 10 months? Currently, the relevant services are working to create convenient conditions for citizens. Everyone is interested in offering the most comfortable format.
The entire training course includes both theoretical and practical classes. Some believe that classes will be held daily from morning till evening. In fact, classes will be conducted 2-3 times a week for 2-3 hours, and there will also be an option for online training if desired.Now let's consider the question: "Is two and a half months really not enough?" It is impossible to comprehensively grasp the material in such a short time. Driving is not a simple action that only requires the ability to start moving. Many who have undergone training for just two and a half months do not know the traffic rules. The new curriculum also includes classes on psychology and ethics. Every day, hundreds of conflicts are recorded on the roads due to impatience and rudeness. We constantly observe drivers cutting each other off, leaning out of their cars, and arguing. That is why ethical issues are included in the training," Orunbekov added.
He also emphasized that in countries such as Germany, Sweden, and Norway, the duration of training in driving schools is 6-12 months, while in the UK and Australia, obtaining a license takes 1.5-2 years.
According to Orunbekov, Kyrgyzstan ranks among the leaders in the number of accidents. In 2025, 8,456 traffic accidents were registered, resulting in 900 deaths and 12,169 injuries.
