The restoration of the barriers on Alisher Navoi Street in Osh has been completed.

Previously, there were reports of damage to the barriers on the sidewalk of Alisher Navoi Street in Osh.

The contracting organization OJSC "Aerodromdorstroy" carried out the restoration of the damaged barriers.

Currently, the barriers along the road have been restored and ensure the safety of pedestrians and drivers.

Turmush previously reported that the barriers installed on the sidewalk could not withstand the load and were damaged less than a month after the construction work was completed.

According to the press service of the mayor's office, the barriers were damaged after a collision with a vehicle. "The barrier in this area was knocked down by a car. The contractors were informed about the restoration," the mayor's office commented. It is known that the six-lane road was built by OJSC "Aerodromdorstroy" under a contract with the mayor's office for a total of 390 million soms.

Turmush also reported that on December 8, 2025, traffic was opened on the section of Alisher Navoi Street that intersects with Alibek Datka and Kurmanjan Datka Streets after the completion of repair work.

Previously, the mayor's office had suspended traffic in this area for its expansion. As a result of the repairs, the road has been widened by one lane, and it now consists of five lanes. Additionally, asphalt has been laid on the sidewalks, and protective barriers have been installed. The head of the road management department of the city of Osh, Jenishbek Shonoev, noted that the work was carried out by one of the joint-stock companies, but the exact cost estimate has not yet been prepared.

“Approximately 20 million soms were spent initially, but the final estimate has not yet been approved,” added J. Shonoev.

The significantly expanded section of Alisher Navoi Street, which intersects with Kurmanjan Datka and Gapar Aitieva Streets, now has six lanes. Thus, the new section has five lanes, while other sections remain six-lane.
