An ambitious project aimed at constructing a rehabilitation town based on the already existing "Maksat" center is starting in the Kyrgyz Republic.
This new complex will become a key element in the treatment of children with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, and Down syndrome, combining medical, educational, and scientific functions.
During the preparation for the implementation of this project, the Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov visited the material and technical base in the village of Archaly.
According to the press service of the ministry, the creation of the rehabilitation town will provide comprehensive assistance to children with various health disorders, including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, and developmental delays.
The rehabilitation complex will include specialized centers and units for inpatient, outpatient, and day rehabilitation, as well as correction centers for children with ASD and Down syndrome. Additionally, the creation of a modern center for children with cerebral palsy with 150 beds, a dormitory for parents and medical staff, as well as an educational and methodological block is planned.
The structure of the town will include rehabilitation halls, a pool for hydrotherapy, blocks for physical therapy and kinesitherapy, massage and physiotherapy rooms, as well as rooms for speech therapy, psychology, and sensory integration. Furthermore, there will be occupational therapy zones and open spaces for rehabilitation and play, including elements of hippotherapy, which helps improve physical and psycho-emotional well-being through interaction with horses.
This project aims to develop a sustainable human resource potential and implement a multidisciplinary approach that will later be scaled across the country.
