Deputies Discussed Measures to Strengthen the Institution of Family

Today, February 6, during a round table on the topic "Family and National Values - The Foundation of Society," the First Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Chyngyz Ajybaev, actively participated in the discussions.

According to the press service of the parliament, among the participants were deputies Gulsharkan Kultaeva, Gulya Kozhokulova, Erkeaiym Seitkazieva, Gulzhan Satieva, Tabyldy Muratbekov, as well as the representative of the UN Women program in the Kyrgyz Republic, Sayed Sadik, and representatives of public organizations and ministries.

Ajybaev noted that issues related to family and national values remain on the agenda, especially in modern conditions. He emphasized that the Kyrgyz people have always placed great importance on family and cultural traditions, which play a key role in the spiritual and cultural development of society. The Jogorku Kenesh actively supports initiatives aimed at protecting and strengthening the institution of the family.

Kultaeva added that the family is the foundation for a stable and healthy society.

She noted that the state should actively participate in strengthening family foundations and preserving moral values. According to her, the goal of the round table was to discuss the significance of family and national values in the context of social stability and cultural identity.

Representatives of government structures shared information about comprehensive measures aimed at protecting the rights of women and children, as well as preventing domestic violence. Participants of the round table noted that many problems in families are rooted in social factors.

In their opinion, phenomena such as unemployment and alcoholism, as well as cases of domestic violence, are the main factors leading to family breakdowns. During the discussion, various measures were proposed to strengthen the institution of the family and protect the rights of women and children. Participants emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach and focused on increasing the legal and financial literacy of the population, which will help citizens in labor migration better understand their rights and reduce economic and social risks that contribute to conflicts in families.
