The Osh Regional Department of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service, under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, has begun to take action in response to the pollution of the area that occurred after the mass competitions in alaman ulak held in the Uzgen district the day before.

The main reason for the intervention was reports of garbage left behind by both participants and spectators of the event. In this regard, the department sent official instructions to the rural administrations of Bash-Döbö and Tört-Köl, demanding urgent cleanup operations in the relevant areas.

According to information provided by the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service, one of the event organizers, Zhanish Niyazov, was held accountable for violating environmental regulations. He was fined 5,500 soms based on Article 115, Part 1 of the Code of Offenses, concerning the dumping and storage of waste in unauthorized places.

Currently, cleanup operations are actively underway at the competition site. Both the event organizers and representatives of local authorities, as well as local residents, are participating in the elimination of the waste.

Furthermore, the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service emphasizes that the organizers of mass events bear full responsibility for adhering to sanitary norms and the timely disposal of waste.

Turmush reported that on February 8, a celebration was held in the Uzgen district, organized by the famous kok-boru player Manas Niyazov, dedicated to the "sünnöt toya" [circumcision] of his children and the 75th anniversary of his parents.

As part of this celebration, an alaman ulak was organized, which attracted guests from neighboring countries. The competitions took place on one of the banks of the Kempiir-Abad reservoir.

According to preliminary data, more than 20,000 to 30,000 people attended the event.

It should be noted that during the equestrian sports competitions, a 27-year-old player died. Also, one of the spectators, who came from Suzak, was injured in a traffic accident after driving off a hill in his car and sustaining serious injuries.

Last night on the Osh—Bishkek highway, traffic police worked in enhanced mode to prevent traffic jams and ensure public order after the alaman ulak, as the competition attracted a large number of people.

The Niyazov family is known for its players in "kok boru" and "ulak tartysh" - Manas, Zhanish, Bayaman, Kiyaz, and Bayysh. Manas Niyazov was the first to start playing "ulak tartysh" in the family.

Following in the footsteps of his father, who was also an ulakchy, Manas decided to continue the family tradition and engage in this national game. His brothers supported him by creating all the necessary conditions for participation.

The Niyazovs have five sons and two daughters, and all the brothers actively participate in ulak tartysh.
