Anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan: a memorial rally was held in Bishkek
Today in Bishkek, a memorial rally was held at the monument to internationalist soldiers, dedicated to the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, as reported by the press service of the mayor's office.

The ceremonial part of the event began with the laying of flowers at the monument. Participants honored the memory of the fallen internationalist soldiers, observing a moment of silence under the sounds of the composition "The Voice of a Lonely Woman." At the conclusion, a metronome sounded, followed by a threefold salute.

Among those present were Bishkek Mayor Aybek Junushaliev, Deputy Minister of Defense Almazbek Kulmurzaev, Defense Attaché at the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Igor Dovbnya, as well as Afghan veterans and representatives of the public.

It should be noted that the Afghan war left a deep mark in history and became a heavy trial for many families.
