
The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration has provided clarifications regarding the procedure for granting maternity benefits.
According to the information from the agency, the following categories are entitled to receive benefits:
- Employed women who have an employment relationship with an employer;
- Individual entrepreneurs;
- Participants of peasant (farm) households (PFH);
- Women officially recognized as unemployed and entitled to unemployment benefits.
The basis for granting the benefit is a sick leave certificate issued by medical institutions.
Where to apply for the benefit:
- Employed women must submit documents at their place of work;
- Individual entrepreneurs, members of PFH, and officially unemployed individuals should apply to local labor, social protection, and migration offices.
Required documents for granting and paying the benefit:
- The employee must present a free-form application and a sick leave certificate to the employer.
- Individual entrepreneurs, members of PFH, and officially unemployed individuals need to submit an application in the established form and provide their PIN.
Additional information for granting the benefit will be requested through the interdepartmental electronic interaction "Tunduk" in electronic format.
Amount of the benefit and payment procedure:
- For employed women, during the first 10 working days, the benefit is set at 100% of their salary (income), starting from the 11th working day - 20 calculated indicators (2000 soms) per month from the republican budget.
- Individual entrepreneurs, members of peasant households, and officially unemployed individuals entitled to unemployment benefits will also receive 20 calculated indicators (2000 soms) per month starting from the 11th working day.
From January 1, 2024, the maternity benefit from the 11th working day will be determined based on 20 calculated indicators per month (2000 soms).
- Women working in remote and high-altitude areas will receive 100% of their salary for all working days.
Mechanism for benefit payment:
Payments of the benefit from the 11th working day will be made centrally through the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration by transferring funds to transit accounts in banks (Eldik Bank, Aiyl Bank) upon presentation of the recipient's passport.
