A memorandum of cooperation was signed in Kyrgyzstan between Adam University and the Kyrgyz Association for the Development of Unmanned Technologies. The purpose of this document is to develop unmanned aerial technologies in the civilian sector of the country's economy.
The document envisions the creation of a system of interaction between the parties in the fields of education, engineering development, and the formation of a professional environment.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by the rector, Svetlana Sirmbard, and on behalf of the association by the chairman, Alexander Kim.
Also participating in the event was Ilyas Isaev, a member of the association who oversees technical directions and projects related to vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drones.
The parties noted that this memorandum is a framework document and is considered the first step towards long-term cooperation. The main focus will be exclusively on civilian applications of unmanned technologies, such as infrastructure monitoring, agriculture, environmental initiatives, cartography, media, and logistics.
The university is ready to offer comprehensive support in the development of this industry, including training specialists, creating educational programs, and participating in research projects together with the association and its members.
"Unmanned technologies for us are primarily a way to develop the civilian economy, science, and education. We intend to participate in the creation of a modern educational base and the training of qualified specialists, as well as to support technological initiatives together with the industry community," said rector Svetlana Sirmbard.
Alexander Kim, chairman of the association, noted that the signed memorandum opens the way for systematic work. "We understand that at this stage we are talking about intentions. But it is from such steps that the creation of the industry begins. Our goal is to systematically develop the civilian market for unmanned technologies, prepare personnel, and create conditions for the implementation of engineering and technological projects within the country," he added.
The parties view the signing of the memorandum as the start of systematic work to create a relevant educational, technological, and professional base for civilian unmanned technologies in Kyrgyzstan.
