According to the press service of KSTU, the main focus of the forum was on issues of sustainable development in the mining industry and tunnel construction. Leading scientists and specialists from both countries participated in the event to exchange knowledge and new technologies.
The forum was opened by the rector of KSTU, Mirlan Chynybaev, Professor Miho Seike from Hiroshima University, and Director of the U. Asanaliev Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Institute, Arstanbek Abdieyev.
In his welcoming speech, Mirlan Chynybaev emphasized the importance of this forum, stating: "On this day, when the world celebrates the significance of mountains, we are launching a forum that unites the experience of Kyrgyzstan and Japan in sustainable mining and tunnel construction. This event opens new horizons for scientific cooperation, the implementation of innovative technologies, and the training of qualified personnel."
Miho Seike from Hiroshima University highlighted the necessity of sharing Japanese experience in sustainable development, adding that this will enable the creation of safe and environmentally sustainable projects in Kyrgyzstan.
Arstanbek Abdieyev focused on the role of his institute, stating: "We strive to prepare specialists capable of working under high standards of safety and efficiency, as well as implementing digital technologies and best practices."

- Impact of mining operations and land use changes on ecosystems — Masumi Hisano, Hiroshima University
- Financial justification for investments in safety — Umut Omurzakova, KSTU
- Training specialists proficient in the Japanese language — Yuto Saijo, Hiroshima University
- Training specialists in industrial and environmental safety — Damira Sambaeva, KSTU
- Increasing safety and reducing negative environmental impact using waste oil — Kubanych Moldobekov, KSTU
At the end of the forum, participants reached an agreement on further expanding scientific cooperation between KSTU and Japanese universities, implementing digital technologies and environmentally safe methods, as well as training qualified specialists.
The forum became an open platform for students, graduate students, and specialists, where they could exchange experiences, implement innovative projects, and prepare joint research for the future.
