The digital reform continues in the country
The "Tunduk" system will serve as the basis for the automatic calculation of pensions in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by representatives of the Social Fund.
The agency emphasized that the new automated platform is fully operational. Now all pensioners receiving payments through banks and post offices have been transitioned to an electronic format. The "Tunduk" system has established data exchange with 17 different government agencies, which has significantly reduced bureaucratic procedures and eliminated the need for numerous certificates.
This year, the second phase of the reforms has begun, which will last until 2045 and involves numerous changes.
One of these changes will be the automatic assignment of pensions when citizens reach retirement age. This proactive service will start operating on July 1, 2026. A month before the birthday when a person reaches retirement age, all necessary data will be automatically collected from government information systems, eliminating the need for personal visits.
As part of the new mechanism, the Social Fund will be integrated with the information systems of other government bodies, receiving up-to-date data about citizens, including work experience and personal information, in electronic format. With complete and accurate data, the pension will be automatically calculated, and a notification of its assignment will be sent through the "Tunduk" application. In this notification, the user will be offered to choose a bank for opening an account, with all banking details being processed automatically, without the need for citizen intervention.
A similar proactive approach will also be used for assigning disability pensions. This system aims to reduce the time citizens spend on document collection, minimize the influence of the human factor, and enhance the transparency and efficiency of public services.
