In Kara-Balta, located in the Chui region, there is a growing interest from entrepreneurs in trading spaces at the municipal market "Kerben," reports Turmush correspondent.

Today, March 5, the third auction is taking place, offering containers at the municipal market "Kerben." This time, 36 pavilions are up for bidding.

According to the data from the municipal property management of the Kara-Balta mayor's office, 369 applications have been submitted for the auction.

Some lots are attracting special interest and competition among participants. For example, lot No. 41 has 51 contenders.

There are only 79 pavilions at the municipal market "Kerben," and the third auction covers the remaining spaces, as the previous ones were successfully leased.

We remind you that in 2024, Kara-Balta received the status of regional significance and expanded its borders due to the administrative-territorial reform. As part of this process, the city also received a targeted transfer of 1 billion soms to finance various facilities, including the launch of the municipal market "Kerben."

It was previously reported that in August 2025, the second auction was held in Kara-Balta for the distribution of trading spaces at the "Kerben" market. This time, 35 pavilions were put up for auction; however, two of them received no applications, and ultimately only 33 pavilions were contested.

Compared to the first auction, which had 507 participants, the second received 208 applications. Meanwhile, 5 applicants were unable to participate due to the lack of a 30% security deposit and an incomplete set of documents.

Lot No. 42 attracted the most attention — 13 participants competed for the opportunity to rent a pavilion.

The starting rental price was 595 soms per square meter, and the area of the pavilions ranged from 14 to 18 m².

After the first auction concluded, many winners decided to refuse the lots they had won due to the excessively high rental fees they themselves had set during the bidding. The maximum rental cost at that time reached 262,000 soms per month.
