The singer's ex-wife accused him of beating: the court assigned 40 hours of community service

The woman believes that the punishment is insufficient

33-year-old Urmataiym, a resident of Kyzyl-Kiya (Batken region), contacted the editorial office with a complaint about years of violence from her ex-husband, singer Bekbolot Yuldashev. She hopes for public support in her situation.

According to her, their life together lasted 14 years, and they have four children.

"For the past few years, he regularly raised his hand against me. The beatings occurred almost every week. I suffered a broken jaw and mouth injuries, my ears were also affected. He beat me so badly that I became unrecognizable. A belt and cords were used to strike my legs and other parts of my body. I endured all this for the sake of the children, hoping that he would change," the woman recounts.

She noted that during the cold season, her husband, along with his sister, kicked her and the children out of the house. On January 13, she first went to the police. However, investigator A. Toroniyazov from the Kyzyl-Kiya police department refused to initiate a criminal case and forwarded the materials to the public safety service.

On March 3, the Kyzyl-Kiya city court issued a ruling in the case. The document states that on January 12, 2026, at 08:30, Bekbolot Yuldashev beat Urmataiym.

At the court hearing, the defendant admitted that he hit his wife out of jealousy. The victim insisted on a harsher punishment, including arrest, but the court found him guilty under Article 70 of the Code of Offenses and assigned 40 hours of community service.

Urmataiym expressed the opinion that Judge Moyutova might be a compatriot of her mother-in-law, which, in her view, could have influenced the leniency in the sentencing.

Additionally, the woman reported that her ex-husband works as an inspector in the tax service of Kyzyl-Kiya. She believes that a person who has committed violence should not hold a government position and insists on his dismissal from work and accountability.

"He also performs as a singer in public, and in my opinion, a person with such behavior should not have the opportunity to perform before an audience," she added.

Urmataiym also demands a legal assessment of the actions of Judge Moyutova N.A., believing that she showed bias and leniency regarding the facts of violence due to personal connections.
