On Pakirdin Mamatov Street, located in the village of Kyrgyzstan, which is part of the rural district of Tölöykön in the city of Osh, local residents are facing serious difficulties due to the lack of asphalt, which has led to the formation of mud.

Local residents shared their problems with a Turmush correspondent.

Aidar Yrysbaev, one of the residents, noted that the road is the main problem for everyone in the village.

“Our main problem is the road. Although we are within the city limits, the living conditions resemble those of a rural area. In spring and autumn, when children go to school, it is extremely difficult to walk on this road. It is very hard for both pedestrians and drivers here. We learned that there was an order from the previous mayor. When they planned to start work, they laid gravel, but then the mayor left, and everything stopped,” he said.

Another resident, Erkin Sheraliyev, also mentioned that the road issue has not been resolved for many years.

“Almost a hundred years have passed since the founding of this village. Our main problem is the road. There is no one from the mayor's office or higher authorities who pays attention. Therefore, on behalf of the people, we made an appeal. Yesterday we went to a reception and met with the vice-mayor. He said that due to a lack of funds, it is currently impossible. At least this year, if there is no asphalt, they should level the road and fill it with gravel, and in 2027, they should allocate funds in the budget to lay asphalt — we would agree to that,” he reported.

Resident Sabyr Chotonov also noted that this issue was not resolved last year.

“Last year the road was not done. This year, it turns out, due to a lack of money, it was not included in the budget. The length of this section is 920 meters. Even if there is no asphalt, it would be good if they filled it with gravel and at least got rid of the mud,” he added.

According to available information, the village of Kyrgyzstan was founded in the 1930s. There are a total of 120 households in the village. About 2000 residents live there.
