In 2026, more than 13 thousand families may receive a 'Social Contract'

Since the beginning of this year, more than 1800 applications have been registered from low-income families.

In Kyrgyzstan, the acceptance of applications for participation in the "Social Contract" program, initiated by the country's president, continues. As of March 11, 2026, a total of 1825 applications have been submitted, according to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Migration.

It is known that to date, contracts have already been signed with 607 families, of which 341 projects are being implemented in agriculture.

Since the launch of the program in 2022, it has aimed to assist low-income and needy families by providing them with funds to start their own businesses.

Over the four years of the program's operation, 48,557 families across the country have managed to sign social contracts. The majority of projects (73.3%) are related to agriculture, 13.8% to manufacturing, 6.7% to trade, and 6.2% to services.

Initially, the amount of assistance under the program was 100,000 soms, but starting in 2025, this amount was increased to 150,000 soms.

Among the first recipients of assistance, there are already successful examples: 14 families have managed to increase their annual income to more than 1 million soms.

According to the program's information, 94.2% of participants are women, predominantly from rural areas. As a result of the project's implementation, more than 57,000 additional jobs have been created.

In 2026, it is expected that 13,333 low-income families across the republic will be able to benefit from the "Social Contract," receiving 150,000 soms for the development of their business.
