At the meeting with businessmen and the media, the minister, along with Mayor Janarbek Akayev, answered pressing questions regarding the situation in construction.
According to Nurdana Oruntaev, there are currently 9 completed facilities in Osh without the necessary documents, and another 24 are in progress. Despite the fact that the work was carried out simultaneously with the design, no corresponding documentation was formalized for any of the facilities.
The ministry plans to create a special commission to inspect the nine completed facilities. Oruntaev warned builders that if the cost of a facility is, for example, 100 million soms, then the work must be carried out in accordance with that estimate. He emphasized that any attempts at manipulation will be strictly suppressed.
The ministry will also take control of the construction of the 24 facilities that are nearing completion.
Journalists at the meeting inquired whether the ministry feels responsible for the current situation. Nurdana Oruntaev replied that Osh is a city of republican significance with its own budget and management mechanisms, where all necessary services for oversight are present. Unfortunately, violations have occurred for which responsibility must be taken.
The ministry's control department monitors the quality of work but does not interfere in financial aspects. It is known that one ministry employee has already been dismissed for the lack of oversight during parallel design, and measures will also be taken against other officials.
It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that the Osh mayor's office's debt to construction companies could reach 12 billion soms. However, former mayor Zhenishbek Toktorbaev denied this information, stating that the actual debt is about 2.2 billion soms.
