To prevent thefts, police officers conducted a special raid in the region.
The main objective of the event was to remind residents about safety measures and to prevent opportunities for theft.
During the raid, police officers visited the homes of rural residents and informed them about the necessity to:
- lock barn doors,
- install video cameras in their yards,
- identify their livestock,
- not leave animals unattended in pastures.
Inspectors also distributed business cards so that local residents could report any suspicious activities. Livestock market owners and slaughterhouse operators were reminded of the need to enhance security measures and install surveillance systems.
Out of the 68 criminal cases opened for livestock theft, 44 cases have already been solved, while operational search activities continue for the remaining 24 cases.
