A meeting took place in Bishkek between the city's mayor Aibek Junushaliev and Askar Salymbekov, president of the "Dordoy" Association. This was reported by the press service of the municipality.
The main focus of the conversation was on improving the infrastructure at the "Dordoy" market.
The head of the capital noted: "At the moment, the mayor's office has completed all necessary work. We support business and are not against its development, but it must happen in an organized manner. It is important to create comfortable conditions for both sellers and residents of the city."
As part of the plans to improve infrastructure at the "Dordoy" market, the construction of multi-level parking lots, landscaping of the area, fencing of the lake, and the creation of a walking zone are planned.
In addition, the mayor instructed to return all parking zones to the municipality's balance and implement a payment system via QR codes.
Askar Salymbekov reported that road construction work in the market area will begin on April 1, 2026.
Following the meeting, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev instructed the Sverdlovsk district administration, the Municipal Property Management, and the Land Use Control Department to complete preparatory work, including the dismantling of obstructive structures.
