The Mayor of Bishkek checked the capital's infrastructure and gave instructions for improvement

On February 24, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, conducted an on-site inspection of the capital together with the heads of city services, paying attention to various infrastructure facilities.

The first item on the inspection agenda was the improvement of the area adjacent to the under-construction "Bishkek Arena" stadium. The mayor instructed the relevant services to prepare a project for the reconstruction of access roads and the installation of engineering communications. The Lenin District Administration, as well as the Department of Transport and the municipal enterprises "Bishkekasfaltservice" and "Bishkekvodokanal," were tasked with ensuring the coordinated execution of these works.

Then the mayor met with residents of the Oktyabrsky district to discuss the construction of a section of Akhunbaev Street, which runs from Auezov Street to the Eastern Bypass Road. During this meeting, he expressed dissatisfaction with the contractor, who changed the project independently twice, causing discontent among local residents.

Junushaliev emphasized that such actions are unacceptable, and every project must go through the established approval procedure and be communicated to the customer before the work begins.

"It is necessary to strictly adhere to the principles of legality and fairness in the execution of works," the mayor noted.

He proposed a solution that takes into account the interests of all parties, including the State Enterprise "Unnaa," local residents, and city interests. The contracting organization was instructed to prepare an updated road construction project in the shortest possible time in collaboration with the State Enterprise "Unnaa" and the Bishkek Main Department of Urban Planning.

Additionally, the mayor met with residents of the Sverdlovsk district, who raised issues related to water supply, sewage, road conditions, and the construction of a children's playground. The mayor noted that this year, the laying of water supply and sewage networks is planned, after which road works will commence.

"All works will be carried out in accordance with established standards. First, communications are laid, then roads," the mayor emphasized.

The Bishkek Main Department of Urban Planning was instructed to develop a project for a children's playground, taking into account a workout area, lighting, and fencing.

A directive was also created to form a commission for a comprehensive study of the issues related to the improvement of the area near the river. It is necessary to work with the Ministry of Emergency Situations to address safety issues, such as organizing fire access and clearing the riverbed. The Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" must conduct an examination of green spaces, remove hazardous trees, and preserve healthy ones. The municipal inspection will receive instructions to combat illegal tree cutting and littering, while the land use control department will check for illegal structures. The Department of Transport should also consider the possibility of creating a passage and constructing a bridge over the river.

In conclusion of the on-site inspection, Aibek Junushaliev instructed city services to thoroughly address issues related to road construction, engineering systems, and improvement, as well as to ensure coordination and timely execution of works by the Sverdlovsk District Administration.
