According to information from the city hall, work on the cleaning and improvement of rivers and canals in Bishkek is actively ongoing.

In the first stage, the riverbeds of the Alamidin and Ala-Archa rivers were cleared, resulting in the removal of 107 thousand tons of waste.

Currently, bank protection works are being carried out in the city. This process is technically complex and requires detailed preparation, which affects the timeline for its implementation.

Illegal structures along the rivers and canals are also being dismantled, which will ensure the free flow of water, prevent flooding, and create a safe ecological environment. To date, about 300 objects have been dismantled, and work in this direction continues.
