In its official comment, the Ministry of Construction clarified:
The agency emphasizes that all mandatory studies were conducted before the start of construction, including determining the groundwater level. The project documentation includes appropriate engineering solutions to ensure safety.
In particular, the project includes a drainage system for diverting groundwater and limits the height of buildings to five stories, which corresponds to the geological features of the site. These measures are aimed at safety both during construction and during the operation of the residential complex.
It should be noted that 'Altai' is a low-rise residential complex. Issues related to seismic safety have been thoroughly studied by the relevant departments of the Ministry, and no additional approval from the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic is required.
In this regard, the opinion expressed by Kanat Abdrakhmatov is not true. The Ministry of Construction urges citizens not to panic and to rely on official information.
Furthermore, several large projects are already under construction in this area, including new projects on the territory of the Osh market and the new bus station, as well as five-story residential buildings. Many four- and five-story houses built during the Soviet period continue to be operated in this area.
The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic assures that the process of constructing the residential complex 'Altai' is proceeding in accordance with established norms and is under constant control.
