According to the minister, conditions have already been created in the country for the construction of buildings taller than 18 stories in seismically hazardous areas. The ministry is actively cooperating with scientific institutions that analyze soil and seismic conditions for construction.
Nurdin Oruntaev emphasized that before making a decision on construction, a complete study of the soil condition must be conducted, and acceptable construction parameters must be determined. Approval for the implementation of such projects is granted only based on the data obtained.
He noted that high-rise construction is only possible if all seismic resistance standards are met.
As an example, the minister mentioned Almaty, Tashkent, Dushanbe, and Urumqi, where multi-story buildings are also being constructed in seismic areas. In particular, buildings over 50 stories high have been erected in Tashkent, and a skyscraper 266 meters tall has been built in Urumqi.
In addition, the Ministry of Construction has developed new regulatory requirements for buildings up to 40 stories high.
Earlier, the head of the president's office, Kanibek Tumanbaev, announced the start of construction of a 40-story residential complex in Bishkek.
