They contribute to the formation of responsible communication and help reduce the likelihood of radicalization and create a resilient information environment. Effective prevention of extremism requires a systematic approach to information and active cooperation between the media and government agencies,” the organization emphasized.
The materials pay special attention to the interaction between the media and law enforcement agencies, which is seen as an important factor for societal resilience.
The manuals will help content creators better understand media legislation, recognize constitutional rights, and adhere to professional ethics when discussing complex topics, avoiding hate rhetoric. At the same time, police officers will be trained in human rights approaches and modern communication principles, viewing the media not only as a source of information but also as a significant partner.
The next step will be to integrate these manuals into the training courses of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and professional development programs for media specialists.
