In Germany, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic, Omurbek Tekebaev, together with Kuban Choroев, the head of the "Ancient Nomadic Civilization" foundation, presented their new work: "Dynasty, Metal, Horse: The Eurasian Nomadic Civilization as an Institutional Continuum."
As noted by Choroев, this book is the result of many years of interdisciplinary research covering over 4000 years of life in the steppe. The authors combined the latest achievements in archaeogenetics, archaeology, and the study of the epic tradition of "Manas," creating a new analytical model DAEX (Dynasty-Alliance-Exogamy-Exchange).
Key ideas of the monograph:
- Institutional continuum: Long-term continuity of steppe institutions from the Bronze Age to the present day.
- Three key elements of power: The significance of control over mobility (horse), resources (metal), and the reproduction of the elite (dynasty) for the formation of statehood in Eurasia.
- The concept of a pulsating core: A new perspective on the cyclical development of nomadic empires.
The book will be presented on popular international and regional platforms such as Amazon, LitRes, Yandex Books, and Wildberries.
A limited edition of the collectible edition will be available in major bookstore chains, including "Chitai-Gorod" and "Bukvoed." The book can be physically purchased in stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The monograph "Dynasty, Metal, Horse" promises to be an important event in scientific and public life, offering a new perspective on the role of nomadic peoples in global history.
