French midfielder Paul Pogba, the 2018 World Champion, has officially returned to professional football, signing a two-year contract with **AS Monaco**. This is reported by leading sports media.

The 32-year-old Pogba missed more than two years due to a doping suspension. He was initially handed a four-year ban for a positive test for the substance DHEA, but after an appeal, the penalty was reduced to 18 months.

In the summer of 2025, Pogba joined Monaco as a free agent and has already made his debut in Ligue 1, coming on in the closing moments of the match against Rennes. Fans welcomed him with applause, and the club's head coach, Sébastien Pocognoli, noted that Pogba brings not only skill and experience but also leadership qualities to the team.

Pogba himself stated: "I am very happy to be back on the pitch. This is what I love the most. Now I need to recover and show my best football again."

Pogba's return is generating significant interest among fans and experts, and many believe he can still compete for a place in the French national team and make a name for himself on the international stage.
