Asian Championship: Sofia Babunova took 7th place among juniors

At the Asian Cycling Championship in Saudi Arabia, athlete Sofia Babunova from Kyrgyzstan took 7th place.

On February 6, a competition was held in which three sets of medals were contested among men and women.

In the junior women's race over a distance of 15.8 km, 10 girls participated.

Sofia recorded a time of 24 minutes and 41 seconds (with an average speed of 48.6 kg), which allowed her to secure 7th place, finishing 2 minutes and 45 seconds behind the winner, Anel Tashbai from Kazakhstan.

Also on this day, competitors Muhammad Ali Matkarimov (24.6 km) and Artem Shapilov (31 km) will participate in the events.

On the first day of the Asian Championship, Kirill Safronov took 11th place in the individual time trial over 20 km among juniors.
