Igor Filin became the holder of the gold medal, winning the road race over a distance of 62.4 km. This victory is a significant event, as it is the first for Kyrgyzstan in road races at the continental level since gaining independence and the fifth gold medal for the country in the history of the Asian Road Cycling Championships.
Additionally, Filin took second place in the individual time trial over 20 km, highlighting his excellent physical condition and consistent results on the course.
The last time a Kyrgyz athlete won gold at the Asian Championship was in 2012, when the award was received by Yevgeny Vakker.
