Kyrgyzstanis won five gold medals at the Arnold Schwarzenegger festival in the USA

At the international weightlifting tournament held in the USA, athletes from Kyrgyzstan demonstrated outstanding results, winning five gold medals.

The Virus Weightlifting Series 1 (American Open Series 1) competition took place from March 5 to 8 in Columbus, Ohio, as part of the Arnold Sports Festival, which was founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1989.

In the under 110 kg category, 108 athletes competed, including Kyrgyzstani Bekdolot Rasulbekov. He achieved an excellent result in the snatch, lifting 165 kg, and in the clean and jerk - 210 kg. His total of 375 kg secured him first place and the gold medal of the tournament. He also earned two small gold medals for his achievements in the individual events.

Emil Moldodosov represented Kyrgyzstan in the weight category up to 79 kg, where 102 participants also competed. In the snatch, he lifted a barbell weighing 140 kg, which earned him a small gold medal, and in the clean and jerk, he achieved a result of 162 kg.

A total weight of 302 kg allowed him to take first place and win a gold medal.

Thus, Kyrgyzstani athletes won a total of five gold medals at the tournament, including two main and three small ones.
