The international freestyle wrestling tournament Yasar Dogu -2026 has concluded in Turkey. According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, our wrestlers demonstrated excellent results, winning 7 medals: 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze.
The best among the participants were Bilol Sharip uulu in the weight category up to 65 kg and Zalkarbek Tabaldiev in the category up to 70 kg.
The silver medals were awarded to Oskonbay Abdisamatov (65 kg) and Malik Shavaev (86 kg).
The bronze medals were received by Bayaman Kerimbekov (57 kg), Rustamzhan Kakharo (70 kg), and Adilet Maratbaev (79 kg).
In the overall team standings, the Kyrgyzstan team took second place.
The tournament, named after Yasar Dogu, Vehbi Emre, and Hamit Kaplan (Yasar Dogu, Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan International Wrestling Tournament), took place in Antalya from January 8 to 11.
