Schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan won bronze at the AI Olympics in Kazakhstan

The second International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence FAIO 2025 (Fizmat AI Olympiad) took place in Kazakhstan.

At the final stage of the competition, 113 schoolchildren representing 47 teams from seven countries gathered: Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Cyprus, as reported by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The competition consisted of two stages. In the first round, participants solved three tasks related to tabular machine learning, creating AI agents, and sound processing. The second round included tasks on computer vision and recommendation systems.

The tasks for FAIO were prepared by experts from companies such as Google, Huawei, Beeline, and Freedom.

Kyrgyzstan was represented at the Olympiad by two teams:

1. OK "Maarif": Matvey Nizovsky, Sabyr Alymbekov, and Bekzhan Ryspekov.
Leaders: Elchibek kyzy Kunduz and Artem Belyaev.

2. School No. 61: Kanat Kurmanbekov, Isa Borzhoev, and Erlan Boronbaev.
Leader: Gulnara Gadeeva, Artem Belyaev.

As a result of the competition, the OK "Maarif" team won a bronze medal. The organizer of FAIO was the NAO "Republican Physics and Mathematics School".

Let us remind you that in August of this year, Matvey Nizovsky brought the first medal for Kyrgyzstan at the international Olympiad on artificial intelligence IOAI.
