A 42-year-old resident of the city of Talas, Gulira Asyranova, works as a kindergarten teacher. A correspondent from Turmush spoke with her.

Gulira was born in the village of Kara-Oy in the Talas region. She graduated from school in 1999-2000, after which she enrolled in the geography faculty of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn. In 2005, she completed her studies and received a higher education degree. In 2003, she married Mambetaliev Chubak. The couple is raising two daughters and two sons. Since the 2005-2006 academic year, Gulira began working as a geography teacher at a school, and later transitioned to working as a kindergarten teacher.

According to her, working with preschool children is both a responsibility and an interest. Every day brings something new. The pure and sincere feelings of children, the diversity of their characters—sensitivity, capriciousness, diligence, and much more—make this work special. Children do not hide their emotions; they express everything openly. For her, working with children is a source of pride. She admits that being among children makes her forget about fatigue and even illnesses. The mood, dreams, and conversations of the little ones lift her spirits. She does not regret leaving her profession as a school teacher to work in a kindergarten. According to her, it is here that she found her calling.

“Every child rushes to tell their teacher good news from home, sharing their joy. While working with children, I noticed one important thing. We, adults, often think that a child is still small and understands nothing. But that is not true—children feel and understand everything. All children come from different families. Despite the differences, they are equally important to us. If a child is sick, we worry together; if they are happy, we rejoice with them,” she shared.

In working with children, interesting and memorable incidents often occur. “Once, a girl wore socks under her tights and then cried, asking us to find her socks. We all started looking for them to calm her down. When her mother came in the evening, she laughed and explained that she had put the socks on under the tights because the girl kept taking them off,” the teacher recalls.

Currently, Gulira Asyranova works at kindergarten No. 19 named after E. Abildaev in the city of Talas. The kindergarten was officially opened on November 20, 2020. It has 13 groups, where 370 children are raised. Since its opening, the institution has achieved a number of successes. According to her, there is a strong emphasis on the professional growth of educators here. Regular district and regional events, seminars, and training sessions are held at a high level.

“Since I started working at this kindergarten, we have prepared our students for the intellectual competition ‘Manas taanuu’ for three consecutive years and have won prizes. We also conduct open classes dedicated to events such as Father’s Day, Nowruz, Mother’s Day, and ‘School for Parents.’ In the 2023-2024 academic year, I was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Talas City and District Departments of Education.

I actively participate in all events, make efforts to decorate and improve the kindergarten, and dedicate my work to its development. Thanks to the support of the team, I was nominated for a Certificate of Honor from the Talas City Trade Union. I sincerely rejoice in every achievement—both my own and that of the entire team. I believe that I can continue to contribute to the development of the kindergarten and achieve new results. I am grateful to work here—among a friendly, creative, and initiative-driven team,” Gulira Asyranova shared.
