For a week, schoolchildren in the Ak-Talinsky district were transferred to remote learning: Reason.Turmush — In the Naryn region, in the Ak-Talinsky district, a decision was made to temporarily switch to remote learning to prevent influenza among children, reports Turmush correspondent.

Deputy Akim Kanibek Esenaliev noted that due to the increase in the number of flu cases, a meeting was held on December 8 with representatives of the relevant services. At this meeting, based on data from the district center for primary healthcare and the sanitary service, it was decided to transfer local schools and kindergartens to online learning for a period of one week.

Azamat Duyshonaliev, director of the district center for primary healthcare, reported that the main factors contributing to the rise in illness are drought and lack of precipitation.

“The flu in our district is not that severe. Nevertheless, about 30 children, mostly of preschool age, seek medical help daily. The lack of snow, dust, and dryness contribute to the spread of the virus. The weather also changes frequently: it can be warm, then suddenly cold. This is seasonal flu, which appears in spring and autumn. There are enough medications, and to prevent further spread of the virus, we proposed to temporarily switch educational institutions to remote learning for one week,” added A. Duyshonaliev.
