Detention of Temirlan Sultanbekov
In the morning of November 22, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported conducting investigative activities regarding Temirlan Sultanbekov (born 1998). He is suspected of organizing calls for a change of power through mass riots. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.Law enforcement officials conducted searches at his residence, after which Sultanbekov was taken to the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Interrogation of the ex-president's son
According to several sources, Kaktus.media, Kadybek Atambaev, the son of the former president of Kyrgyzstan, was summoned for interrogation in connection with the same case regarding mass riots.Raiza Atambaeva was also invited for interrogation, as reported by her daughter Aliya Shagieva. According to her, the search in the apartment of Raiza Atambaeva and Kadybek Atambaev began at 6 AM, after which they were taken for interrogation, which started at 8:00 AM.
Aliya Shagieva characterized the events as "political persecution" and "human rights violations." In the evening of November 22, it became known that Raiza Atambaeva had been released.
Search at Shailoobek Atazov's home
Former deputy Shailoobek Atazov also reported a search at his home via social media, posting a corresponding video.Investigative Service officials presented him with a search warrant, which was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Interrogation of Syimyk Japikeev
According to sources from Kaktus.media, former head of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes Syimyk Japikeev was detained in the morning in Kadji-Sai and taken to Bishkek for interrogation regarding the mass riots case. His connection with Sultanbekov and Kadybek Atambaev has not yet been established.Later, Japikeev was released after interrogation, but the details of his testimony remain unknown. He denied any connection with Kadybek Atambaev.
Search at Kubanychbek Kadyrov's home
Kubanychbek Kadyrov also reported a search at his home, where he is also accused of calls for mass riots.The politician stated that law enforcement officials first passed through security, posing as residents of apartment 36, after which they came to him and his family. It later became known about his detention.
Search at journalist Dmitry Lozhnikov's home
Dmitry Lozhnikov, former general director of the "April" TV channel, reported that a search was being conducted in the apartment of his ex-wife, where his children live.He noted that law enforcement officials were "turning over toys and rummaging through children's belongings."
Lozhnikov emphasized that he has no connection to Sultanbekov and Atambaev, stating: "I am engaged in journalism, not coups." After the search, his ex-wife was taken for interrogation but was later released.
Search at Adakhan Madumarov's home
Adakhan Madumarov reported on his Telegram channel that a search also took place at his home at 7:00 AM.During the search, a safe, cameras, laptops, phones, and other personal items were seized.
After the search, around 12:00 PM, Madumarov was taken away in an unknown direction. Later, his son Nurmukhammad and his wife were also detained.
Closer to the evening, a message appeared on the Telegram channel stating that the politician had been released after interrogation, with details promised to be shared later.
Detention of several politicians
According to relatives, Temirlan Sultanbekov, Kadybek Atambaev, and Shailoobek Atazov were placed in the temporary detention facility. In the next two days, the Pervomaisky District Court will consider the issue of choosing a preventive measure.In addition to them, the following individuals were also detained:
- former bodyguard of Almazbek Atambaev Damir Musakeev;
- member of the "Social Democrats" party Ermek Ermatov.
