At the press conference held on November 30, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, stated that no disruptions in the system at polling stations were recorded during the parliamentary elections taking place in the country.

Shainazarov also pointed out that false information about problems with the voting system is being spread on social media.

“A disruption implies a complete failure of the system, but that is not observed. No disruptions were detected at any polling station. This is the first attempt to implement this system, and although human factors may be possible, they are quickly resolved. All polling stations are equipped with modern technology,” he explained.

Furthermore, according to him, the automated ballot box will not accept a ballot if it is damaged or bent.

“If a voter bends a ballot that has a barcode, the automated ballot box will not accept it. I urge everyone to remain calm and carefully follow the voting procedure,” Shainazarov added.
