Popova Olga Petrovna (1933-2006) Art historian. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on January 2, 1933, in the city of Talas. In 1964, she graduated from the Faculty of History (Department of History and Theory of Art) of Lomonosov Moscow State University. From 1964 to 1969, she worked as the head of creative sections of the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan, and since 1969, she served as the chief editor of the artistic-expert board of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR.
