Two Men Fined for Illegal Fishing on the Jazy River in the Uzgen District

On January 8, a raid was conducted in the Uzgen district, organized by inspectors from the Osh Regional Office of the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service and employees of the "Bars-2" group from NABU.

During the inspection, one citizen was detained for fishing in the Jazy River without adhering to the necessary regulations. He was fined 1,000 soms in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 266 of the Code of Offenses, which pertains to amateur fishing rules.

Additionally, during the raid, another violator was caught using prohibited synthetic nets known as "screen" devices. For this violation, he was issued a fine of 5,500 soms under Article 267 of the Code of Offenses, which regulates the use of synthetic fishing nets and electrofishing systems.
