Discussed cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of shipbuilding

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, held a meeting with Majnun Mamedov, the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan.

As part of the visit, the Kyrgyz delegation also visited the Baku Shipyard, the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, and the Trade House of Kyrgyzstan located in Baku.

At the Baku Shipyard, the delegation familiarized themselves with the company's capabilities in the production of ferries and other vessels intended for servicing the Trans-Caspian transport corridor. The parties discussed cooperation in shipbuilding and the operation of ferries for transport and logistics needs.

At the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, the Kyrgyz delegation studied modernization projects and deep oil processing, as well as discussed partnership opportunities for the supply of petroleum products and the exchange of experience in improving energy efficiency and environmental standards.

The visit to the Trade House of Kyrgyzstan in Baku emphasized its importance in promoting Kyrgyz goods in the Azerbaijani market and developing business ties between the two countries. The necessity of expanding the product range and activating joint business initiatives was discussed.

The parties expressed their readiness to implement specific projects in the fields of agriculture, transport, energy, and trade within the framework of strategic partnership.

During the visit, the delegation also honored the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of Azerbaijan, and his wife, Zarifa Aliyeva.
