During his working visit to Azerbaijan, Bakyt Torobayev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, held a meeting with representatives of the space agency "Azercosmos".
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that during the meeting with the acting chairman of the agency's board, Duna Batirkhanov, the possibilities of cooperation in the field of space technologies, satellite communications, and digital solutions were discussed.
The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in using Azerbaijan's satellites for communication needs, monitoring agriculture, controlling the environmental situation, and preventing emergencies.
In turn, Azerbaijan presented its satellite systems, which can provide high-precision monitoring of territories and offer comprehensive digital services for both government agencies and the private sector.
As a result of the meetings, the parties agreed to continue working consultations and prepare specific projects for the implementation of satellite technologies in areas important for Kyrgyzstan.
