During the meeting, Bakyt Torobaev met with the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, M. Mamedov. The discussion covered a wide range of issues, including:
- the implementation of technologies for the production of virus-free seedlings and the study of Azerbaijan's experience in cloning and "in vitro" methods;
- the system of certification and tracking of planting material;
- the use of intensive technologies in horticulture;
- the development of organic farming and the creation of a platform for knowledge exchange;
- cooperation in the field of phytosanitary safety, including disinfection of quarantine products and conducting laboratory research;
- the exchange of experience and training of specialists from the Veterinary Diagnostics Center in areas such as ichthyopathology, ichthyology, and aquaculture;
- issues of export and import of breeding animals and materials;
- the possibility of implementing the Azerbaijani model of agricultural insurance for Kyrgyz farmers.
As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to establish a joint working group that will focus on a systematic approach to the implementation of the agreements reached and the coordination of further bilateral cooperation.
The discussions at the meeting demonstrated the interest of both parties in developing a sustainable and high-tech agricultural sector, as well as in strengthening partnerships and exchanging experiences between the countries.
