At a recent meeting held by the head of the Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan, Almambet Shykmamatov, the results of tax revenues for the past year were summarized.

According to his information, the tax and insurance contributions plan for 2025 was set at 343 billion soms, however, actual revenues amounted to 389 billion soms. This means that the plan was exceeded by 113.6 percent.

Compared to the previous year, the volume of tax revenues increased by 87.5 billion soms, which corresponds to a growth rate of 28.9 percent.

Shykmamatov noted that the achieved results are a historical record.

The head of the Tax Service expressed confidence that next year the service aims to achieve even higher indicators. To this end, new rules, mechanisms, digitalization, and analytical methods will be implemented in 2026.

The meeting also established key tasks for the upcoming year, including the activation of efforts to reduce tax arrears and combat the shadow economy. These measures are expected to contribute to an increase in revenues to the state budget.

“As part of the overall economic strategy, support for production, small and medium enterprises will continue, as well as the expansion of the tax base and attracting both domestic and foreign investments. The president will provide additional support, relevant decrees will be issued, and changes will be made to legislation. This will create favorable conditions for the development of startups and new businesses, making Kyrgyzstan attractive for their growth,” added Almambet Shykmamatov.

It was also announced that a new electronic accounting system, Kezet, will be introduced in January, which will allow for contactless desk audits and analytical work to be conducted online.
