We remind you that at the meeting of the Budget, Economy, and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on January 19, 2026, accusations were made against OsOO "Rikha" that the company allegedly had its "license revoked," "failed the accreditation process," as well as possible violations of "halal" standards.
The association stated that at present, the company has not received any official notifications (letters, orders, or decisions) from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic or other authorized bodies regarding the withdrawal of permits or identified violations.
The Agro-Industrial Complex Association of the Kyrgyz Republic noted: "The production and sale of sausage products and meat products do not require licensing. Private manufacturing enterprises are not subject to state accreditation; they are subject to product certification procedures. Halal certification is carried out on a voluntary basis. Moreover, OsOO 'Rikha' currently has valid certificates issued by authorized organizations from both the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan."
According to the information from the Agro-Industrial Complex, OsOO "Rikha" has:
- Certificate from the Center for the Development of the Halal Industry (Kyrgyz Republic) No. C135.25;
- Halal Certificate from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyz Republic) No. KG 2206/0925;
- Certificate from Halal Damu (Kazakhstan) No. 001295.

The association also emphasized: "According to the results of laboratory tests conducted in an accredited state institution, no pork DNA was found in the products of OsOO 'Rikha', which is confirmed by the test protocols."
The producers' union reports that it continuously monitors the situation in the agricultural sector and food processing, as well as the information background related to the activities of domestic producers.
Association representatives note: "Previously, we encountered situations where unchecked or distorted public interpretations of certain issues led to public pressure and reputational risks for businesses and the entire industry. Reputational risks in such cases can extend beyond the domestic market, as any incorrect public interpretation quickly spreads to neighboring markets and creates a negative background for the entire domestic food and processing sector."
Earlier, the Center for the Development of the Halal Industry also commented on the situation with the sausage producer, stating that the company had not had its license revoked. However, the organization that issued the certificate ceased to exist.
The State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry" added that currently, the approach to certification in the halal industry sector is being revised. Changes are being made to the Code of Offenses concerning the fight against fraud and enhancing consumer protection in the area of halal certification.
