At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurbek Akjolov, the Deputy Minister of Finance, shared information about support for small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan.
“Since 2021, small and medium-sized businesses have received 150 million dollars in the form of donor funds. These loans were interest-free, and more than 20,000 entrepreneurs were able to take advantage of them. We are continuing this initiative,” Akjolov stated.
In addition, he reported that this year the program will continue: an agreement has been signed with the World Bank for 120 million dollars. Loans will be issued at an interest rate of 8% per annum, and the loan amount for entrepreneurs will range from 100,000 to 50 million soms.
