Business complains about issues with cashless payments

Issues were discussed with the State Tax Service, banks, and the regulator

A meeting was held at the State Tax Service where entrepreneurs shared the problems arising from the use of cashless payments. The main difficulties are related to high fees, delays in crediting funds, and complex procedures established by banks.

Representatives from the State Tax Service, the National Bank, several commercial banks, the Interbank Processing Center, and the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan participated in the discussion.

According to information provided by the tax service, entrepreneurs most often complain about significant fees for processing cashless payments, delays in the arrival of funds to bank accounts, and the lack of information about the payer in bank statements when payments are made via QR codes. Additionally, business representatives point out excessive requirements from some banks, which complicates their operations.

The State Tax Service proposed a number of measures to address these issues. These include reducing fees, speeding up the process of crediting funds, increasing payment transparency, eliminating unnecessary paperwork during audits, and simplifying account opening processes. It was also suggested to consider the use of personal wallets for conducting business activities in the context of the digital economy.

As a result of the meeting, specific tasks were set for banks and the regulator to resolve the identified issues. Representatives of the National Bank and commercial banks expressed their readiness to work on the proposed suggestions.
